The History Behind the Palmetto Building - Now the Lofts

The Palmetto Building was built in 1909. Originally a warehouse for Sullivan’s Hardware, the largest hardware supplier in the Southeast, we completely renovated and brought the building back to life to house 31 rental apartments.

Located in the heart of Downtown Anderson

The Lofts, located in the heart of Downtown Anderson: where Southern historical charm meets luxury and opulence. The all-brick exterior allows expansive units, and each unit is unique. The units are approximately +/- 900 square feet, complete with original hardwood flooring, exposed brick exterior walls, and 12-15’ ceilings. The heavy timber structure gives it the “loft” feel.

The apartments each come with a state-of-the-art kitchen, complete with stainless-steel appliances, to bring out your inner chef. Each unit is designed with beautifully tiled spacious bathrooms.

Our Mission

Our mission was to preserve the rich history and as much of the original building as possible, while also providing the best upgrades and amenities to offer the best of both worlds.

Urban living

Located adjacent to awesome shops, restaurants, and Anderson’s amphitheater, residents have everything they need within walking distance. It is the best of urban living alongside old Southern tradition.

The Lofts are also conveniently located 25 minutes from downtown Greenville, and just 20 minutes from Clemson, which makes them an easy commute for college students and young working professionals. And for extra convenience, each unit comes with its own onsite parking space, with additional parking available for family and guests.
